๐ฏ The idea
Four players, thirteen tricks. Every heart is one point and the Queen
of Spades is thirteen โ and points are bad. The player with the
fewest points when someone reaches the target wins.
๐ Playing a card
Tap a card in your hand. If you have a card of the suit that was led you
must play one โ the cards you cannot play go grey.
Highest card of the suit that was led takes the trick, and whoever
takes it leads the next one.
๐ Breaking hearts
Nobody may lead a heart until a heart has already been played on
some other suit โ that is "breaking" them. Nothing that scores can be
thrown away on the very first trick either.
๐ Shooting the moon
Take every single point in a hand and it flips: you score nothing
and everyone else takes the lot. It is rare and it is worth watching for โ
the player hoovering up hearts may be winning.
๐ Levels
๐ฑ Sprout: a short pack (7 up), no passing, first to 50. ๐งญ Scout: the whole deck, pass three each hand. ๐ Ace: the same, against sharper opponents.
A level sets the switches in โ๏ธ Settings; change any and you are
playing your own mix.
๐ค Auto
Tap ๐ค Auto at the top and the game plays your hand too โ
the pass, every card, and on into the next hand โ at the same pace as
everyone else. Handy when you need to put the phone down. Tap it again to
take over; the game finishes the card it is on and then waits for you.
It plays for keeps. Points it takes are on your score, and a match
can be lost while you are not looking. It plays like an opponent at your
level and sees only what you see. The button stays lit the whole
time, so it is never a mystery who is playing.
