High on Cinder Mountain lived a young dragon named Ember. He had green scales and a smile with too many teeth, but he was a nice dragon. He shared his snacks, he said good morning to the goats, and he once carried a lost duckling all the way home on his nose.

Ember had one big problem: he did not listen to his mom, the biggest and wisest dragon on the mountain. Every morning she told him the same three things: “Never sneeze near anything that can burn. Don’t fly near the village when it’s windy. And never flap your wings at a fire.”

A long, long time ago, in a land so far away that the birds had to stop and ask for directions, there lived a black dragon with red accents, and his name was Wilber Fujr`ee. He was very scary looking because he had long scary claws, he was very, very tall, and he could breathe fire. People would run away in fear whenever they saw him out and about. If they would just give him a chance and try to get to know him, they would see that he was a very kind and gentle dragon, and it was not his fault that he looked scary.
