Week 1 & 2 - WIE / ESP
Both weeks covered the same material and preparation included putting together class materials and the related website.
The website included videos about Google SketchUp and the schedule/topics of each of the days that the class was taught. The class was designed to introduce virtual environments by providing a brief demonstrations in the MTU Virtual Environments lab. Then students created a model with Google SketchUp and they were able to see that model in a virtual environment on the final day of class by using a head mounted display to navigate around in their creation.
Week 3 - SYP
This week was a completely different course than WIE/ESP. This involved exposing the students to technologies such as GIMP, Virtual Environments, Google Sketchup, Javascript programming, Anaglyph 3D, Anaglyph Javascript exercises, 3D Webcam abilities, Toyota’s VE Driving Simulator and Panorama pictures.
