Ingredients

All Purpose Flour 2 cups
Butter (softened) 1 cup
Confectioners’ Sugar (sifted) 1/2 cup
Vanilla Extract 1 tsp
Nestle Toll House Semi-Sweet Chocolate Mini-Morsels 12 oz (2 cups), divided

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 350ºF.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, butter, confectioners’ sugar, and vanilla extract; mix until well blended.
  3. Stir in 1 cup chocolate chips; mix well.
  4. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  5. Shape into 2-inch logs or press into circles using bottom of glass dipped in flour.
  6. Bake 10 to 12 minutes.
  7. Cool completely on cooling rack.
  8. Over hot (not boiling) water, melt remaining 1 cup chocolate chips; remove from heat.
  9. Dip one end of each cookie into melted chocolate.
  10. Chill in refrigerator until firm (about 1 hour).

Makes 4 1/2 dozen cookies
