Roll the die as often as you dare and add it up. Roll a 1 and the turn's points are gone. Hold to keep them. First to 100 (or 50) wins.
Each seat: đ a person, or đ¤ at đŖ Easy, đ Medium or đ§ Hard.
đ˛ Roll
On your turn, roll the die as many times as you like. Each roll adds to your points for this turn.
đˇ A 1
Roll a 1 and every point you made this turn is gone, and the turn passes. Points you held before are safe.
â Hold
Hold to add this turn's points to your score, and pass the die. You have to roll at least once first.
đ Winning
The first player to reach 100 wins, the moment they get there (or 50, in âī¸ Settings).
đ¤ When to hold
Each roll, 5 times in 6 you add 2 to 6 (4 on average), and 1 time in 6 you lose the turn's points.
So while your turn has less than 20, one more roll adds a little on average; past 20, it loses on
average. Near the end, rolling on to win can pay even past 20. The coach (in âī¸ Settings) shows
the odds as you play, and what the best player would do.
đ¤ The computer
đŖ Easy rolls twice, then holds. đ Medium holds at 15 (at 8, playing to 50). đ§ Hard plays the best way there is,
worked out exactly for two players (with more, it plays against the leader).
â¨ī¸ Keys
R rolls and H holds. Tab and Enter or Space reach the buttons too.
đ Play to
How many points win. A new game plays to this; a saved game keeps its own.
⨠Coach
On each person's turn, the coach shows the odds of rolling again and marks with ⨠what the computer at its best would do.
