π Slide and tap
Slide your thumb left and right to swim across the river. Tap anywhere to
snap your jaws. On a keyboard the arrow keys steer and
space snaps.
β±οΈ A bite takes time
Your mouth opens, shuts, and takes a moment to open again β about half a
second in all. You cannot snap again in the middle of a snap, so tapping
over and over is the slowest way to eat.
π The fish see you
Fish dart sideways when you get close, and they notice an open mouth
sooner than a shut one. Bite where a fish is going, not where it
is.
π½οΈ Keep eating
Swimming uses you up and every snap costs a little, whether you catch
anything or not. Fish put it back. When you run out, the run ends.
π Big fish, big meal
A catfish is worth far more than a minnow and fills you up β but it is
faster and it bolts sooner.
πͺ¨ Rocks
Hitting one slows you down and costs you a bite's worth of energy. Go
around.
π Sound
Water, the snap and the crunch. π at the top turns it off, and it
stays off in every other game here too.
