⏱️ Arcade

A new stage every time you finish one, each with its own name and its own sky, and there is always a next one. Other cars are traffic β€” they are in your way, not racing you. Hitting one costs speed, never the run. On Timed the clock is the only thing that can stop you, and checkpoints put it back up. On Cruise nothing can, so stop whenever you like β€” the score is waiting at the end of every stage.

πŸ›£οΈ Endless

One road, and it has no end. No finish line, no cards in between β€” the sky changes colour as you drive into the next place and the name pops up as you cross into it. What you are chasing is how far you got, in miles, and the furthest you have ever driven is on the menu. Tap ⏸️ whenever you want to stop; that is how a run out here finishes.

🏁 Grand Prix

A championship over the stages you pick in the menu before you start β€” tap them in, or hit 🎲 for four at random. Five rivals line up with you and drive properly: they brake for the corners, so a better line through a hairpin is where you take a place. Tuck in close behind one on a straight and the slipstream tows you past. Points go to the top six every stage, and the table at the end is the season.

πŸš— Steering

Hold β—€ and β–Ά at the bottom corners, and πŸ›‘ to brake. You're always on the throttle otherwise. The car doesn't turn β€” the road does, and the faster you go the harder the bend pushes you out.
Two other ways, in βš™οΈ Settings β†’ Steering: Swipe β€” put a thumb anywhere on the road and drag; the further you drag, the harder you steer. Tilt β€” lean the phone. The πŸ›‘ button stays put in all three. Arrow keys and WASD work too.

πŸ’₯ Rumble β€” the mode with crates

Rumble is a Grand Prix with things on the road. Drive over a yellow crate and you pick one up; the button beside ⚑ shows what you got, and you choose when to use it. You can only carry one.
πŸ›’οΈ Oil slick β€” drops behind you. Anyone who drives over it spins.
⚑ Turbo β€” a burst of speed, right now.
🫧 Bubble β€” shrugs off the next thing that hits you.
πŸ“£ Air horn β€” shoves every car near you into the next lane.

The further back you are, the better the crate. That is on purpose and it is why the leader keeps getting oil and bubbles β€” those are what a leader wants. If you are last you will get turbos and horns.
The rivals pick crates up too, and they wait for the right moment to use them: oil when you are on their tail, a horn when they are boxed in.

⚑ Boosts

Drive over a blue chevron and you go faster for a few seconds. Get past 4 cars in a row without touching one and you bank a boost β€” the ⚑ button appears, and you choose when to spend it. Save it for a straight: a boost can't take a corner for you.
